The CD900 Series are high performance elevated feed mobile antennas which can be used in virtually any mounting position. When gutter or roof bar mounted, high above a vehicle, CD900 series antennas deliver a full 6.5dB gain over a 3 wave whip. When mounted in other positions, such as on a vehicle fender or bull bar, the elevated feed design places a large portion of the antenna above the vehicle cabin, providing good all round performance regardless of mounting position. The SW120 series is a range of low profile, flexible ¼ wave whips which provide excellent omnidirectional performance when mounted high on a vehicle. They make an ideal roof mount antenna when coupled with either an MB10/MB12 or on to a CD90/900 Series elevated feed choke for other mounting locations. They are available either pre-tuned to specific bands (380MHz to 520MHz) or in the case of the SW120, field tuneable from 400-520MHz. By the nature of their location, these types of antennas are generally exposed to extreme conditions. The SW120 Series are constructed from twisted stainless steel wire, surrounded by an injected UV stabilised TPU radome which results in a flexible yet robust antenna.

"I'd would (and did!) go the CD900. The GME's seem far too inflexible for my liking, whereas the RFI will handle pretty much anything I can throw at it. A great all round antenna, which many on here claim outperforms every other antenna they have used - including GME. Combined with the fact the RFI is half the price of the GME, the decision was very easy." http://www.4wdaction.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=91937 "I've since replaced them with the RFI CD900, I have found it to be an excellent aerial, I was able to do a direct comarison between the GME and the RFI and the RFI won hands down. I have a little 1/4 wave (6 inches) aerial to screw onto the elevated base if I am in the trees." - http://www.4x4earth.com.au/forum/comms-equipment/354-uhf-aerials-3.html
