AirMAX Sector Titanium is a Carrier Class 2x2 Dual Polarity MIMO Base Station Antenna that was designed to seamlessly integrate with Rocket M5 radios. Pair a Rocket M5 Titanium radio with an airMAX Sector reach to create a high powered PtMP base station. Providing adjustable beamwidth from 60 to 120 degrees combined with great isolation performance, the new titanium sectors provide additional scalability and noise immunity performance in hi-noise environments and co-location deployments.

When sectoring a PtMP network in this fashion it's important that each node is integrated with a Rocket M5 GPS in order to take advantage of airMAX's proprietary AirSync protocol. AirSync replaces the radio's conventional carrier-sense timing protocol with a inter-radio synchronised TDMA protocol. Instead of each radio polling for a quiet channel before transmitting (and potentially colliding), AirSync detects the GPS coordinates of each unit and synchronises transmissions into separate time slots. variable gain beamwidth diagram
