Dynamic solution

Vehicle masts are an extremely dynamic communication solution in any location but are particularly effective in regions that have damaged communication infrastructure.

Once used exclusive for military, emergency and aid relief services, these masts are now common on all manner of vehicles. Explorers and people who visit or live in rural and remote areas often install their 4WDs or caravans with masts to stay connected.

Minimal modification and unhindered movement

The telescopic mast is by far the most common design of vehicle antenna, whether it be manual, air, hydraulic, spindle, gear or winch driven.

By their very nature, vehicles move - so it's necessary that tall mast systems retract to allow for unhindered movement.

Usually masts installed to a vehicle require little modification, however in the extreme, such as in military roles, the vehicles themselves are designed solely to lift masts up to heights of 40m plus, and support huge headloads for large amounts of RF equipment. As with other towers, additional guy wires can be used for additional stability in high winds.
